Just To Let You Know...

...the previous post has a picture of my little Spunky when she first moved in and decided that the bed was hers. It was NOT when she passed away. I hope nobody was disturbed about that. Here is a better picture of my little girl:

It's been a somber weekend at the Plantfreak house. Saturday we lost one of our little kittens-she was fine one day and gone the next.

That was bad enough but then Mr. Plantfreak ran over Spunky, one of our dogs. She was my little cuddlebunny. Mr. Plantfreak feels horrible...he liked Spunky best out of all the animals. Sorry to make another depressing entry, but it's what I've got going on right now. If Spunky were here rightnow she would be sitting in my lap watching me type.

I have to work First Monday this week so I doubt I'll be blogging. I'll try to work on a sunnier attitude too.

Follicle Faux Pas

Back in the day I sported a FeMullet (dead center). So sad. My cousin Mommy, Esq (far right)had the really BIG 80's hair. She was really into the pageant scene back then. Now she's really into the poopy pants scene.

Mother's Day

Mother's Day is tomorrow and it's making me a little melancholy. I still miss my mom so much. I miss my grandmother too. It breaks my heart that neither of them will see Cody graduate high school, go to college, etc. Neither of them will get the chance to see AJ finally make his way in the world.

When I went to Alabama a few months ago, I stopped to see Mom's grave on the way out...but I couldn't find it because she still doesn't have a headstone. It broke my heart and just enraged me at the same time. Mom deserves better than that.

If you still have your mom make sure she knows that you love her. When she is gone I guarantee you will backtrack through every moment wondering if she knew just how much.

Free Empanadas

Last night I got home to find Mr. Plantfreak sitting on the bed with his bottom lip stuck out. We were supposed to have fajitas for dinner and after he grilled the fajita meat and began slicing...he knocked the entire plate on the floor. OMG. Nothing else was ready to cook so we jumped in the car and headed for Taco Bell.

Mr. Plantfreak wanted to go in and order but what is the point of getting fast food if you actually have to get out of the car. We get to the intercom and make our order, last of which was THREE apple empanadas. This was the girl's response "Well sir, not only do we not have FREE empanadas, but we are completely out of them". We stared the the intercom for a minute with our mouths hanging open...and then started laughing so hard I thought I was going to wet my pants. She really thought we were demanding free empanadas. How many people do you think want their empanadas free?

Her excuse was that she can't hear well in the earphones. So you made the jump to free...when we ordered three of something else you were fine. Whatever, it was funny and a good giggle for the day. Free empanadas. Snort.
